"Day 17 - Home and Post Trip Impressions"

 Tom T

It certainly looked like a very full and fun trip. I enjoyed checking in with your blog. Thanks.

Jean

We would not have been able to do this on our own. Huge trip and so exciting! I'm glad we did it. Maybe our last trip to Europe. Who knows...

"Day 16 - Cruising the Rhine and the Amsterdam Canals."

Jean

Two boat rides in one day. Both excellent. A great end to our trip.

"Day 15 - Innsbruck - Munich - Bad Durkheim"

 Jean

Lunch by the Glockenspeil! We are very lucky.

"Day 14 - Italy to Austria"

JuneBug

Beautiful scenery everywhere you look. The hotel was very nice and quaint. I enjoyed Innsbruck!

Jean

Yes, beautiful and a much slower pace. Not a bad thing for a vacation.

"Day 13 - Venice"

 JuneBug

Venice really is a beautiful city but the drizzle and cloudy weather put a “damper” on things. It is great to walk everywhere and not have to worry about cars…
We did enjoy ourselves although the public toilets closed at 7:30 and we had to head back at 8; poor timing.

Jean

Gondola ride in Venice!! Who would think Ed and I would be doing this. Such a great trip.

"Day12 - Roma"

JuneBug

Vatican City and Saint Peter’s Basilica are everything you have read about. The Colosseum is remarkable; I am sure there were some interesting shows put on there….
So happy Margarita was found; we were all relieved.

Jean

Another great, amazing day! We should be losing weight with all the walking.

"Day 11 - Florence and on to Rome"

JuneBug

Everywhere you turn in the cities is a spectacular building, chapel or tower. I enjoyed Florence and can’t wait to explore more of Rome tomorrow. We are all praying for Margarita. :(

"Day 10 - Pisa"

JuneBug

The history of the Leaning Tower is quite interesting. All of the buildings in that square were spectacular!

Jean

We're in Italy!

"Day 9 - Bus, Gondola, Cable Car, Horse Buggy, Bus"

JuneBug

Always a fun filled day, going to the top of Pilatus was spectacular. It was quite interesting to see the dairy farm in the middle of town.

Jean

Hard to believe we can pack so much in to one day!! Wonderful.

"Day 8 - Paris to Lake Lucerne, Switzerland"

 Jean

Again, beautiful scenery!

"Day 7 - Strolling Paris and the Moulin Rouge"

Jean

We always seem to have so much fun. Good choices!

"Day 6 - Bus - Boat - Bus - Boat - Bus"

Jean

We are in Paris!

"Day 5 - Greenwich Park, the Cutty Sark and the Prime Meridian."

Jean

Greenwich Park is beautiful! I'm glad we added that to our list!

"Day 4 – The British Museum, Parliament, Buckingham Palace"

JuneBug

The British Museum was a must and didn’t disappoint. The weather was gorgeous too, no rain so far. We are getting the hang of the tube system……I think.

Jean

It is a massive museum! We almost got lost a couple of times....

"Day 3 - Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Lacock and Bath"

JuneBug

It was a long day but a good one. We didn't get to see the King but his “home” is very grand. Even tho we didn’t get to time travel, Stonehenge is still impressive. A great site seeing day weather wise too.

Jean

The Changing of the Guard was so exciting! We weren't inside, but marching in the street, the Security, just amazing!

"Day 1/2 - April 1-2, Travel and a bit of London"

JuneBug

As far as travel goes, this was one of the best days yet. Virgin Atlantic does it right. We are in London! Time to act like tourists.

Jean

London! We had a great trip overseas, great weather, so lucky!

"Planning for our European Experience"

JuneBug

Ready, set ….pack!

Jean
